1. Introduction

Welcome to The Birdie Bunker, Shellharbour’s premier indoor golf and social experience.
These Membership Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rights, responsibilities, and expectations of all members.

By purchasing or renewing a membership, you agree to these Terms and to conduct yourself in a way that reflects the friendly and inclusive spirit of The Birdie Bunker.

 

2. Membership Structure

The Birdie Bunker offers three flexible membership tiers to suit different play frequencies and lifestyles:

• A session equals one (1) hour of simulator bay time and are for 1 person. Additional guest are 20% off

• All members receive 10% off food and beverage purchases made in-venue during active membership.

• Membership tiers and inclusions may be updated or varied with prior notice.

 

3. Membership Term, Payment & Renewal

3.1. Memberships are billed on a weekly recurring basis, payable via direct debit, credit card, or approved payment method.
3.2. Memberships automatically renew each week unless cancelled under Clause 7.
3.3. Members are responsible for maintaining valid payment details and sufficient funds for renewal.
3.4. Membership fees are non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law.
3.5. Membership benefits and prices are reviewed periodically and may change with 14 days’ written notice to members.
3.6. Promotional offers or introductory discounts may be provided from time to time and are at the discretion of management.

 

4. Booking Policy

4.1. Simulator sessions must be booked in advance via our online system, by phone, or in person.
4.2. Bookings are subject to availability and venue operating hours.
4.3. Each simulator bay accommodates up to 6 players.
4.4. Members may bring guests; standard guest or visitor rates apply for non-members.
4.5. Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 4 hours before the booked session time to avoid forfeiture.
4.6. Unused sessions do not roll over to the following week.
4.7. The Birdie Bunker reserves the right to reschedule or adjust bookings to ensure fair use and availability.
4.8. All membership tiers are limited to a maximum of 2hrs per day – Additional sessions can be purchased for 20%

 

5. Venue Access & Conduct

5.1. Members and guests are expected to maintain respectful and responsible behaviour toward staff, other patrons, and venue property at all times.
5.2. The Birdie Bunker is a licensed venue — patrons under 18 years must comply with liquor licensing laws.
5.3. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
5.4. Intoxicated, abusive, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal or membership cancellation without refund.
5.5. Members are financially responsible for any damage caused to simulators, clubs, or venue property by themselves or their guests.
5.6. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the venue.
5.7. The Birdie Bunker reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership in cases of misconduct or breach of these Terms.

 

6. Food, Beverage & Discounts

6.1. Active members are entitled to a 10% discount on all food and beverage purchases made within The Birdie Bunker venue.
6.2. Discounts apply only to the member’s personal purchases and cannot be transferred, shared, or combined with other promotions.
6.3. The discount must be applied at the time of purchase; retrospective claims will not be accepted.
6.4. Alcohol service is subject to RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) requirements under NSW Liquor Law.
6.5. The Birdie Bunker reserves the right to alter menu pricing, offerings, or discount policies at its discretion.

 

7. Equipment Use & Safety

7.1. All equipment, including golf simulators, must be used responsibly and according to staff instructions.
7.2. Only balls, tees, and equipment approved by The Birdie Bunker may be used within the simulators.
7.3. Members must immediately report any damage, malfunction, or safety concern to staff.
7.4. Members agree to comply with all posted safety rules and verbal instructions from staff.
7.5. The Birdie Bunker reserves the right to terminate or suspend play if unsafe behaviour is observed.

 

8. Cancellations, Pauses & Refunds

8.1. Members may cancel their membership after 6 weeks by giving a minimum of 7 days’ written notice prior to their next billing date.
8.2. Cancellation requests must be made in writing (email or in-person form).
8.3. Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun.
8.4. Memberships may be paused for up to four (4) weeks per year for travel, illness, or injury, subject to management approval.
8.5. The Birdie Bunker reserves the right to cancel or suspend memberships for non-payment or breach of these Terms.

9. Liability & Risk

9.1. Participation in golf simulator activities is undertaken at the member’s own risk.
9.2. The Birdie Bunker will not be held responsible for injury, loss, or property damage sustained while on the premises, except where required by law.
9.3. Members are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in golf-related activities.
9.4. By becoming a member, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with indoor golf and social venue environments.
9.5. Members indemnify The Birdie Bunker, its owners, and staff against any claim or liability arising from misuse of the facilities or breach of these Terms.

 

10. Privacy & Data Handling

10.1. The Birdie Bunker collects personal information to manage memberships, process payments, and improve services.
10.2. All data is handled in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
10.3. Member information will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law or to process payments.
10.4. Members may request access to their personal data or correction of information by contacting the venue.

 

11. Changes to Terms

11.1. The Birdie Bunker may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
11.2. Members will be notified of any material changes by email or notice on the venue’s website.
11.3. Continued use of membership following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

12. Code of Conduct Summary

• Treat staff and patrons with respect.

• Follow all safety instructions.

• Under 12s must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• No aggression, intoxication, or unsafe conduct.

• Report all damage or issues immediately.

• Members receive 10% off food & drink and 20% off extra simulator bookings.
